Abstract

This paper is concerned with three issues. First, , this paper describes the policy of minimum capital and the single presence policy and its consequences on market structure.  Secondly,  abuse  of dominant position,  and the third about the steps to prevent it in order to create healthy competition in the banking industry.  The minimum core capital policy and the single presence policy is suspected to have contributed to the formation of the concentration of the banking structure or oligopoly market structure.  This could potentially lead to a dominant position. Abuse of dominant position in the oligopoly market structure could cartel prices or interest rates. The cartel is  very detrimental to consumers because consumers bear the cost of higher interest than when there  is no cartel.Therefore the Commission for the Supervision of Business Competition must act decisively and prevention efforts. The Commission for the Supervision of Business Competition  should actively perform preventive action by advising policy revision of minimum capital, single presence policy, the revision of the legal lending limit, the setting of public funds related and unrelated, it is necessary to prohibit the cross-crediting a cross between a bank, and cooperate with the Deposit Insurance Institution or LPS to create a healthy business competition in the banking industry.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the service quality and consumer satisfaction to the students of LPK Solocom Surakarta. The method of the research is survey. The population is 200 students and the sample is 75 students. Data was collected by using questionnaire and analyzes by regression. Based on the research result, concluded that (1) the quality of education service is not satisfaction yet: (2) tangible, empathy, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance give effect to consumer’s satisfaction of LPK Solocom Surakarta. The results of study indicate that the assurance variable positively affected by consumer satisfaction.  While the variable tangible, reliability, responsiveness and empathy didn’t have an effect on consumer satisfaction.  For the F test, that’s all independent variable affected the consumer’s satisfaction.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penyusunan laporan kolaborasi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah variable independen, yaituCurrent Ratio (CR), Return On Investment (ROI), Total Assets Turn Over (TATO), danEarning Per Share (EPS) secarabersama-sama dan parsial mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap variable dependennya, yaituDevidenKas (Cash Dividend). Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan di Pojok Bursa Efek Indonesia yang berada di UniversitasMuhammadiyah Surakarta. Dalam hal ini yang menjadi obyekpenelitiannyaadalahsejumlahperusahaanmanufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa EfekIndonesia (BEI) selamaperiodetahun 2006sampaitahun 2008 yang dipilihberdasarkankriteriatertentu.Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari laporan keuangan perusahaan manufaktur pada Bursa Efek Indonesia yang diperoleh dari pojok BEI Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta.Analisa dilakukan dengan menggunakan.metodekuantitatif.Metodekuantitatifdilakukandenganmenggunakanteknikstatistikdenganmengolah data-data yang sudahadauntukmembuktikanhipotesispenelitian yang diajukansebelumnya, yaitufaktor-faktor fundamental perusahaanmanufaktur yang dijadikansampel.Dan alatanalisis yang digunakandenganmenggunakanmetoderegresi linier berganda, Uji-t Uji-F sertaKoefisienDeterminasi.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang AnalisaDampakFaktor–faktor Fundamental Perusahaan (Current Ratio, ROI, TATO dan EPS) TerhadapDevidenKaspada Perusahaan Manufaktur yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI)diperolehhasilbahwaCurrent ratio, return on investment, total assets turn over danearning per share secarabersama-sama mempunyaipengaruhsignifikanterhadapdevidenkaspadaperusahaanmanufaktur di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Return on investment, total assets turn over danearning per share secaraparsialmempunyaipengaruhsignifikanterhadapdevidenkaspadaperusahaanmanufaktur di Bursa Efek Indonesia, sedangkancurrent ratiotidakberpengaruhsecarasignifikanterhadapdevidenkaspadaperusahaanmanufaktur di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Return on investment merupakanfaktor yang paling dominanberpengaruhterhadapdevidenkaspadaperusahaanmanufaktur di Bursa Efek Indonesia.

Abstract

One of the variable related to the improvement of business or organizational performance determination is organizational culture. Organizational culture is value and belief system that adopted together inspired by belief and a common interaction with people of a company, the structure of the organization and supervision systems to produce behavioral norms. Cultural organizations have some of the functions within an organization, among other, have a role in determining boundaries, which creates a difference between one organization to another. Organizational culture also serves to convey a sense of identity to members of the organization, facilitate the continuation of commitment to reach a wider range, helping to bind the organization together by providing appropriate standards of what should be said and done the employee, former employee performance improvement. Characteristic of organizational culture, among others: learn, share, trans-generation, influence perception, adaptation. Characteristics of the Islamic culture, among others: work is a "worship", work-benefit principle beneficiaries, is the actualization of the ability of his wits to work, work with “tawazun” (harmony), observing the principle of “halal”.

Abstract

This study examined the correlation between social desirability with the magnitude of the individuals’ intensity to fake their responses on personality measurement in the context of job selection. Social desirability bias is defined as the tendency of individuals to give a response in a certain manner that will be viewed favorably by others. 90 students participated in the quasi experimental under within-subject design with two occasions. At the first occasion, participants were asked to complete the five-factor personality scale in an honest way (neutral condition) whereas in the second occasions they were asked to complete as if they are applicants who follow the employment selection (motivational condition). Intensity of faking was operationalized by the differences between both conditions. Data analysis suggests three findings: (a) personality measurement using self-reported techniques was vulnerable to faking when applied to employment selection. (b) There are individual differences in the amount of faking. (c) Social desirability can explain these individual differences, with the effect size between 2% to 20%. This study recommends that the using instrument to measure personality should be modified before it was applied to the selection process with respect to content of indicators and the impact of social desirability

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to: (i) acknowledge and examine the differences between the financial performance of Islamic banking with conventional banking, (ii) to analyze and explain the differences in efficiency levels between Islamic banking and conventional banking (iii) analyze and compare the efficiency of Islamic banking with banks conventional. The population used in this study is a commercial bank in Indonesia with 124 banking institutions with the details of five state banks and 119 private banks. sample of banking institutions in this study are 5 government-owned banking institution (s) and 3 institutions of Islamic banks. The method of analysis used in quantitative research is descriptive (analytic). Measurement and test efficiency and efficiency ratio of the difference of Islamic banking from conventional banking to use Supplier Data Analysis (DEA) and two different test mean (t-test). The results showed during the observation period 2006-2010, economic activities (banking) of Islamic banks are relatively more efficient than conventional banks

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the influence of competency aspects of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of the furniture industry in Klaten, and analyze the impact of entrepreneurship on performance orientation furniture industry in Klaten. The data used are the primary data, taken in cross section through direct interviews with the owners of the furniture business by using a list of questions. The Sample is 182 funiture businesses or 10% of the population. Testing the validity of using Confirmatory Factor Analysis analyzes (CFA), and reliability testing using Cronbach Alpha. Analysis tool used hierarchical regression analysis. Based on the analysis concluded that (1) model 1 is the best model to explain the relationship between entrepreneurial competencies (skills), and entrepreneurship orientation on the performance of SMEs, (2) entrepreneurial competence (Initiative and enterprises, Planninng and Organizing, technology) as well as influential entrepreneurial orientation has positive and significant impact on performance, and (3) entrepreneurship orientation variable proved to mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial competencies and business performance in Klaten furniture.

Abstract

The research examined the impact relation conflict with the setting of high shool institution namely the University Muhammadiyah of Surakarta. The objective was to analyze whether the variable of worker behavioral attributes model of relation conflict consisting of miscommunication, naïve realism, intervence, faulty attribution, disagreement and negative emotion significantly affecting the work motivation.  The sampling as many as 48 persons was taken by using purposive method. They comprised the managers whose qualifications were as workers of administration unit in university. From the 48 persons taken as samples through questioner sheets, 40 questioner sheets were returned but one of them was damaged. Therefore, there were only 38 questioner sheets which were valid to be analyzed. The result of regression analysis by using the instrument called the program SPSS showed that miscommunication and negative emotion significantly negative affecting the work of motivation.  The naïve realism has effect positively significant toward work of motivation. Whereas the others variable such as naive realism, intervence, faulty attribution, disagreement have not effect negatively  significant toward the work of motivation.

Abstract

The e-banking adoption researches have been conducted with diversity in the approach models in which they found the model diversity so that these are casuistic. This fact becomes an interesting gap research. The purpose of this article is to provide an insight into the determinants of customers’ e-banking acceptance. The samples of the study numbered to 200 people analyzed with SEM. Results indicate that the concept of trust and risk have merit in explaining consumers’ decisions on whether to use e-banking. These findings are also related to the theoretical, practical, managerial, and methodological implications and implication to further studies although this study is limited.
